Trade-In Guidelines

To properly evaluate cards, they must be scanned using the TCGSeller app. This process requires that all cards be removed from binders and/or sleeves. Offers are made based on the current TCGPlayer market value. We do not use PriceCharting, eBay comps, or any other method to determine card value. In general, cards worth $8.00 or more will receive offers of roughly 30% - 60% of their value. Please read below for a breakdown of how that offer is calculated.

  1. Value $1.99 and below - $0.05/card. Bulk Energy’s will not be given any offer. The $0.05/card offer will be capped at 50 cards/trade-in. Any additional cards in this price range will receive an offer of $0.01/2 cards.

  2. Value $2.00 - $3.99 - $0.35/card. 

  3. Value $4.00 - $5.99 - $0.75/card. 

  4. Value $6.00 - $7.99 - $1.25/card

All cards worth $8.00 or more will receive offers based on a % of their current TCGPlayer market value. The offer % of value will be determined by the value of each card.

  1. Value $8.00 - $19.99 – Offer 30%.

  2. Value $20+ - Offer 35% - 60%. Offer % will increase by 1% for every $8 increase in card value. For example, a card worth $28 would receive a cash offer of 36% of its current value.

  3. Maximum offer of 60% value will be met once a card is worth $200 or more.

For store-credit trades, the cash offer will be calculated and then multiplied by 1.20.

If our offer is not accepted, we will re-sleeve all cards. We will keep cards protected while in holding, but will not re-insert cards into any binders. You will have space provided to re-insert cards when you return for pickup. 

Please let us know if you would like your cards kept in any particular way pending offer and/or pickup.

You are welcome to wait in the store while we process your trade. You may also leave your contact info and we will reach out when we are done. For a full binder, the average processing time is 1.5-2 hours. If there is not enough time remaining in the day to finish your trade, it will be held overnight and continued the next business day. Please make it known if you do not wish for your trade to be held over night before dropping it off.
